After more than thirty years sitting with people through grief and loss, I know how much you want to take the pain away when someone you care about is hurting.

And how helpless it feels when you can't.

Here's what I've learned: Our job isn't to fix grief. It's to acknowledge it. To step up and companion another person as they navigate through loss.

I started The Comfort Company in 2002 after I tried to find a meaningful sympathy gift and came up empty-handed. More than 150,000 gifts later — including these handcrafted lamps — we're still doing that same important work.

To return a lamp for any reason, just return it in resell condition in the original packaging

Ships same or next business day with tracking. Most orders arrive within 3–5 business days. Need it sooner? Choose expedited at checkout.

Will the recipient know what I paid?

No. We never include an invoice, packing slip, or pricing in the shipment.

Can I include a personal message?

Yes — your note is printed on exquisite custom stationery and included with your order.

What if my order arrives damaged?

The lamps are meticulously packaged so breakage is rare. In the event a lamp does arrive damaged, a cell phone image will be asked for in order to process a replacement.
